Product Details
Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) Power Generation is a large-scale physical energy storage technology that uses surplus electricity from the power grid to compress and store air, and releases high-pressure air to generate electricity when needed, so as to realize cross-time regulation of electric energy.
Bidirectional conversion between electrical energy ↔ pressure potential energy / thermal potential energy ↔ electrical energy.
• Energy Storage Stage: An electric motor drives the compressor to compress ambient air into a high-temperature and high-pressure state. The heat is captured and stored by a thermal storage medium (e.g., molten salt), and the cooled high-pressure air is stored in the air storage reservoir.
• Energy Release Stage: The high-pressure air is released, heated by the thermal energy storage system, and then enters the expander to perform work, driving the generator to generate electricity.
